The DaleGEO site now has Baidu site verification, the push API and sitemap submission in place, along with Baidu analytics.
www and non-www are separate sites
Baidu treats them as two different properties. Our canonical URLs, sitemap and hreflang all use the non-www form, but the property we first verified was the www one — so pushing non-www URLs returned 401, and pushing www URLs did not match the sitemap. The fix is to verify the exact host the site itself declares.
The daily push quota is small, and over-quota rejects the whole batch
Submitting ten URLs with nine remaining returns an over-quota error and accepts none of them. A push script should probe with one URL, read the remaining allowance, then fill it. Bulk coverage belongs to the sitemap channel, which has its own quota.
Analytics snippets must contain the literal URL
Baidu's code check scans the raw HTML for the full script URL. We had built the URL by concatenating the ID at runtime — it worked in the browser, but the console kept reporting the code as missing. Emitting the literal string fixed it.
