Definition
Zero-click describes a user getting what they needed from the answer itself and never visiting a site. The influence happened; the visit did not.
Why it matters
It breaks click-based attribution. A drop in site traffic alongside steady or rising brand-name searches and inbound calls usually means the path shortened, not that demand fell.
