Definition
A long-tail semantic keyword is a narrow, specific question — usually combining a category with a location, an industry or a situation. Individually low in volume, collectively large.
Why it matters
The candidate pool for a specific question is shallow. For a brand that cannot yet win the category question, this is where entry is cheapest and results appear fastest.
